There was lots of good cheer at the Tally last night when regulars discovered that the pub had been voted Herald Express Pub of the Year 2015, beating off competition from 50 other South Devon pubs. One regular who shall remain nameless immediately phoned the BBC, whilst others posed for photos with the trophy and the plaque. Here’s a picture of landlady Hollie Brockwell and chef Chris Webley holding the trophy that was presented to them yesterday by Richard Steel of Torbay Taxis who sponsored the competition. The good news was announced in today’s paper – more details and another picture on the Herald Express website.
Many thanks to everybody who voted for us!
