The Great Britain IX will be drawn by 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ and Black Five 44871. Royal Scot was built in 1927 for the fastest trains on the London, Midland and Scottish railway (LMS). 44871 is a Stanier Black 5, built for the LMS at Crewe in 1945.
TheĀ Great Britain IX should be passing the Tally Ho southwards (towards Totnes and Plymouth) at about 3.20pm on Tuesday 26th, and returning northwards (towards Newton Abbot) at about 2.20pm on Wednesday 27th.
