Come and enjoy an evening with Stuart Cumberpatch from Brixham Blues club and Les Thompson of the Amber Fire Ceilidh Band. Stuart ‘Marshcat’ Cumberpatch has been singing and playing the country blues on 1920s National steel guitars and harmonica for more than 25 years, keeping alive the tradition of acoustic lap-style guitar founded by the likes of Casey Bill Weldon, Black Ace Turner and Charlie Patton, and complementing this with bottleneck-style slide guitar on songs from the vast 1920s and 1930s repertoire of Delta blues, hokum, gospel and Hawaiian music.
