Kitchen now re-opening on Sunday 27th November

The recent heavy rain has revealed a leak that we weren’t aware of, which means our kitchen closure has had to be extended by a day (better to find out now!). So we won’t now be serving food on Saturday 26th, but we definitely will on Sunday 27th!

We’ve still got tables available on Sunday, so get in touch if you’d like to put our newly re-furbished kitchen to the test!

Shortlisted for the Rural Community Ownership Awards

The Tally is up for yet another award! The Tally Ho and Littlehempston Community Pub Limited is one of three finalists in the South West of England category of the Community Ownership Awards 2016!

The awards are run by the Plunkett Foundation, a national charity who support people, predominantly in rural areas, to set up and run life-changing community co-operatives and who were a great help in getting our organisation going. Part of our application read “Things that seem impossible can be achieved through working together and pooling different skills. That’s probably the most important impact locally. We now have a community who are used to pulling together and seeing results.”

The winners in each of the nine regional categories will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 28 November at the Millbank Tower in London. Keep your fingers crossed for the Tally Ho!

Christmas at the Tally Ho

Christmas leaflet cover 2016Looking for a venue for your Christmas party or get-together?

You’ll find a very warm welcome at the Tally Ho, South Devon’s first community owned pub.

This historic Grade 2 listed building is full of character and aided by the wood burning fires and Christmas decorations, the Tally will be a place of traditional Christmas cheer.

This is the Tally Ho’s third Christmas as a community pub and our managers, Rachel and Marc, and their staff are looking forward to giving you a happy and festive occasion to remember.

Our Christmas menu is available for tables small or large up to a maximum of 40, where you will occupy the whole pub. To help us make your party as enjoyable as possible, we do request a pre-order for you and your guests (plus a £5.00 deposit per person).

If you or your party have any special dietary requirements, please contact us and we will discuss possible alternatives for you.

A special Christmas present…

Can’t think what to buy the most important person in your life? (Or even the second or third most important…?) How about a share in a pub! We’ve still got shares in the Tally Ho for sale at £250 each, and if you’d like to give one (or more) to someone as a present, we can supply vouchers that you can put in an envelope and hand over on Christmas Day, and then your loved ones can send back to us as payment for shares in the Tally Ho.

You can find out more about Tally Ho shares on our Share Offer pages, then if you want to buy one or more share vouchers to give as presents just contact us.
