Tally sparks 50 years of romance!

Richard Foord first met his future wife Anita in the Tally Ho back in 1964. Here’s the story in Richard’s own words:

“In August 1964, I visited the Tally Ho whilst on holiday in Devon for the first time. Whilst having a drink the landlord introduced me to a family who had popped in for a drink on their way home to Brixham. At the very first sight of their daughter I knew she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. The family left and I asked the landlord where exactly did they live in Brixham but he had no idea. Two days later by pure luck and perseverance I met this woman of my dreams and on Saturday 26th March 1966 we were married at St Marys Church, Brixham.

“On Saturday 26th March 2016, we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary and where else could we hold the venue other than the Tally Ho? We were a party of 7, our son, daughter and their partners together with our grandson.

“The ambience, delicious food, and the friendliness of the staff were faultless. We all had a fantastic evening and we all highly recommend it.”
