The Tally Ho is Herald Express Pub of the Year 2015!

Hollie and Chris with the Herald Express Pub of the Year 2015 cup and beer matThere was lots of good cheer at the Tally last night when regulars discovered that the pub had been voted Herald Express Pub of the Year 2015, beating off competition from 50 other South Devon pubs. One regular who shall remain nameless immediately phoned the BBC, whilst others posed for photos with the trophy and the plaque. Here’s a picture of landlady Hollie Brockwell and chef Chris Webley holding the trophy that was presented to them yesterday by Richard Steel of Torbay Taxis who sponsored the competition. The good news was announced in today’s paper – more details and another picture on the Herald Express website.

Many thanks to everybody who voted for us!

Christmas at the Tally Ho

Christmas leaflet cover 2015Looking for a venue for your Christmas party or get-together?

You’ll find a very warm welcome at the Tally Ho, South Devon’s first community owned pub.

This historic Grade 2 listed building is full of character and aided by the wood burning fires and Christmas decorations, the Tally will be a place of traditional Christmas cheer.

This is the Tally Ho’s second Christmas as a community pub and our managers, Hollie and Chris, and their staff are looking forward to giving you a happy and festive occasion to remember.

Our Christmas menu is available for tables small or large up to a maximum of 40, where you will occupy the whole pub. To help us make your party as enjoyable as possible, we do request a pre-order for you and your guests (plus a £5.00 deposit per person).

If you or your party have any special dietary requirements, please contact us and we will discuss possible alternatives for you.

A special Christmas present…

Can’t think what to buy the most important person in your life? (Or even the second or third most important…?) How about a share in a pub! We’ve still got shares in the Tally Ho for sale at £250 each, and if you’d like to give one (or more) to someone as a present, we can supply vouchers that you can put in an envelope and hand over on Christmas Day, and then your loved ones can send back to us as payment for shares in the Tally Ho.

You can find out more about Tally Ho shares on our Share Offer pages, then if you want to buy one or more share vouchers to give as presents just contact us.
