Here’s a picture of our 100th shareholder Claire Stentiford and her husband Martin handing over her application and cheque to Littlehempston Community Pub Limited chairman Mike Thomas.

You can see how many shareholders own a part of the Tally Ho by looking at the Pub-o-Meter that’s on all our Share offer pages.

Working on the Tally

We’ve owned the Tally for just over a week now, and an army of shareholders, supporters, friends and neighbours have worked very hard cleaning, re-decorating, gardening and repairing to make sure the pub’s ready to open this Friday, 28th March. Here’s a gallery of pictures to give you some idea of what’s gone on:

We've bought the Tally Ho !!!

Littlehempston Community Pub Limited has completed the purchase of the Tally Ho today !
The keys were finally handed over at about 3.30 this afternoon. Shareholders and supporters will be hard at work over the next couple of weeks to get the pub cleaned, tidied and ready to be fully open again by Mothers’ Day, Sunday 30th March. The plan is to re-open serving drinks only on Friday 28th, and have a full food menu available by Mothers’ Day.

Hollie and Chris

The pub will be run by landlady Hollie Brockwell and chef Chris Webley. They’ve worked together before at the Rising Sun, Frampton Cotterell, near Bristol – a free house that features prominently in The Good Beer Guide. Hollie and Chris admit to being nervous, but also excited and looking forward to the challenge of running a re-opened Tally Ho. This energetic young couple bring lots of experience with them – Chris has been a chef all his working life and Hollie started in the trade at a very tender age, helping in her parents’ establishment, the Primrose Tea Rooms in Lustleigh.
